This resource is a non-fiction comprehension activity for year 2, perfect for using in the summer term. There are three differentiated texts about summer wildlife, with differentiated questions.
It is based on the KS1 SATs reading paper.
There are a range of 'what, ’ ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. The activity is also laid out in a similar way to the SATs booklets, with four pages of pictures and short written extracts to read and 2-3 questions per page.

This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning about French Festivals. The lesson teaches the class about six festivals e.g. Bastille Day. There is the French word for each festival, a little bit of information in English and two more French phrases linked to the festival. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a longer unit on France.

There are a mixture of numeracy, literacy, phonics and art activities perfect for the end of term. Examples include counting carol singers, writing acrostic poems and completing sequences among many others. Children can work independently on activities during this busy part of the year or they could be used as part of a whole lesson. A great way to keep learning going right up to the end of term. I used this booklet with my year 1 class last year and they really enjoyed it!
